| Customer Reviews: Well constructed, does the job August 25, 2009 DigitalMan (Denver, CO) This is not a sexy item. Its aim is to give you closer focusing distance on non micro lenses. It does just that. It is very well constructed of metal instead of plastic as some extension tubes are. I do not own any other tubes. I bought this one specifically for its limited 8mm depth for a very specific application. It's a one trick pony in my bag, but the results are awesome. This item is also hard to find. Most manufacturers don't make an 8mm and I felt very lucky to track this one down.
Beware of lens (in)compatibility September 2, 2008 Jim (New York, NY) 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
Be aware that these extension tubes do NOT work with DX- or G-type lenses. It took a long to determine why the tubes weren't working on my camera. The Nikon rep had to search for 20 minutes before he finally came up with the relevant information. Since DX and G lenses were all that I had, they extension tubes were useless.
