Excellent November 21, 2007 Nick Langiano (CT, USA) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Easy to assemble, very sturdy, the rotation design really saves space, and you can load almost 150 DVDs into this. Looks a lot more expensive than it is, as well. Excellent for a dorm room or den.
Excellent purchase! September 21, 2008 Peter Vassler (USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I could not be happier after purchasing this DVD storage unit. I'm not all that mechanically talented, but this was easy for me to figure out from the well done instructions and packaging and labeling. I actually enjoyed the assembly process which took me about 45 minutes. Every part was cut and drilled exactly right and went together perfectly. When it was completed I was so proud of myself and now all my DVDs and VHF tapes have a neat home and are easily accessible.
I did one other thing that made this unit better for the way I would be using it. As I would be needing to move this unit often to get to shelves behind it, I mounted it on a wooden planter dolly with wheels. It was easy, just pre-drilled and screwed the bottom part of the swivel unit to the top of the dolly with some small wood screws (4 in all) and now the unit swivels and rolls in any direction. Looks very nice too. This is a beautiful addition to my room and I would give it MORE STARS, if that were possible!
Great Value, Nice Looking! July 15, 2008 Kelvin Darcia Gutierrez (Costa Rica) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
You require a Phillips screwdriver to fit some screws, this is an easy assemble, takes about an hour to do the entire thing, just be patient with the first part of the process, once you get it, the second part of the assembly it's a repetition of the first, looks really nice, people with little patience will find it aggravating, but if you enjoy building stuff, than you'll enjoy this, all panels are properly labeled and instructions are easy to follow, all the screws come in a little labeled package, with letters differentiating each one of them and for what you should use them for.
I love the way this thing looks, and it feels very sturdy, I LOVE IT! :D and it holds a whole bunch of DVD's without taking too much space, I'm very happy with my purchase.
Great, flexible storage system March 5, 2009 James King (Chicago) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I almost bought one of those tall, wire storage racks. I'm glad I didn't. I've got several DVD's, CD's, XBOX, PS3 and PS2 games. The wire rack is limited to the size and shape it can hold well. This thing will hold just about anything. There's lots of space so I can put each kind on it's own shelf. It was easy to assemble and rotates nicely even on out rug. It is very tight burber (sp?) though.
It may not be quite 'living room' quality for some people but it's not priced that way either.
Best DVD-storage bang for your buck April 3, 2009 C. Gregory (OK, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you are looking for a clean and modern-looking, efficient and low-cost DVD storage solution, look no further! Most other DVD storage units in the same price range as the Typhoon hold 50-80 fewer DVDs and take up more space to boot!
Unlike some other reviewers' products, my Typhoon came perfectly intact, no scratches or scuffs anywhere. Each piece was clearly labeled and all hardware came neatly packaged and separated by label (no hunting for which screw is "Q" and which is "H" like many other "assembly required" units!) Instructions were clear and simple.
Overall--it looks very good, especially for the price. I will soon be purchasing another for the remainder of our DVD collection!
